Happy Thanksgiving: A Day to Be Thankful.

On this occasion, amidst the turkey, parades, and football, let's not forget the real meaning behind Thanksgiving. This is a day to be thankful.

And, I have so very much to be thankful for...

My wonderful family. Both near and far, although we aren't all together today.

My amazing friends. Those who I see daily, and those that I do not see nearly enough.

My loving, supportive husband. He's the best.

Our beautiful daughter, the apple of our eye.

Our healthy, growing sweet baby #2. How I can't wait to meet you.

Our perfect home that we have created together.

Our jobs.

Our health.

Our freedom.

And, last, but not least, I am so very thankful to God for blessing me with it all.

Or in my case, pumpkin roll. :o)

Happy Thanksgiving sweet friends! Be sure to count your blessings today, and every day.

Our Family Pics

Last Tuesday, I posted about our family photo sesh with our friend, Jenae from A Perfect Pixel. If you missed that post, check it out here.

Anyway, I got our pics back and I could not be more in love with them (which is apparent on Facebook and Instagram; sorry for the overload friends)! I'm finding it nearly impossible to choose one for our Christmas card this year.

Here's a look at some of my faves...

To check out our full session, click here

And, if you're looking for a fabulous photographer, I'd highly recommend Jenae. She's extremely patient, and her love for kids is so obvious. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. Thank you again Jenae! You rock!

Happy Hump day!

Trendy Tot Tuesday: Thanksgiving Style!

Want to join the link up? We'd love to have you! Follow Kelly, Megan, and  Lindsay, and link up your post! :o)

Thanksgiving is just a 2 short days away. It's one of my favorite holidays. Family time, football, and all the food you can eat.... does it get any better than that? Oh yes, and a super cute outfit to go with it for my sweet baby girl!

T modeled her Turkey Day outfit the other night. The romper is from one of my favorite online boutiques, Stelly Belly. It came complete with shoulder bows and a hair bow. I paired it with a solid white turtleneck from Gymboree and her brown Mary Jane's from Stride RiteThis girl is definitely ready for some Thanksgiving fun! She is just the cutest, if I must say so myself!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Trendy Tot Tuesday: Family Pictures!

This past Saturday, we had family photos with our friend and fabulous photographer, Jenae from A Perfect Pixel (check her out!) and as usual, I had no idea what to wear. But, more importantly, I had no idea what Tinley would wear. There were so many cute options. Do we go for red and green for Christmas? Or a fun, whimsy theme? Or, just classic neutral?

Well, classic neutral won since we were going to be outside with the gorgeous trees. I dressed T in a hot pink monogrammed brown corduroy dress from Smocked Auctions, white tights, hot pink Mary-Janes, and a super cute bow hand-made by Tu-2 Sisters. I didn't want Justin and I to be too matchy-matchy, so we each wore brown, white, and denim in some fashion.

Before we were leaving the house, I had Tinley practicing her smile. She's become quite the ham these days and loves to pose and smile and say cheese for the camera. (Unless she's under pressure of course, like with Jenae. In which case, she refuses to smile unless you sing Itsy Bitsy Spider or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Mind you, I'm the world's worst singer!)

Anyway, first try we got this...

Okay, let's try that again, I say. So we got this...

A little better. One more...

Third times the charm! Is she not the cutest?!

I can not wait to get the pics back, but for now, here's a little sneak peek Jenae snapped on my phone from her camera... She'll obviously edit out the kids playing in the background, although they do add a nice touch!

Lily's Gift Guide

This weekend, it hit me.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and with it being so late this year, that means so is Christmas! In fact, once turkey day is over, we have only 3 short weeks to prep and plan for the biggest and best day of the year! That is sooooo not enough time!

We started shopping for Miss T a few weeks ago, which is harder than it seems, because she has everything under the moon. And, if she doesn't already have it, one of her 10 sets of grandparents is buying it for her. Okay... so technically it's only 4 sets, but if you count great-grandparents, who spoil her too, it's 6. So yeah, you can imagine our difficulty. I tried the "everyone should just give her money for her savings account," route, and that didn't go over so well. So, back to the drawing board for her.

On the other hand, I came across this fabulous gift guide for all you mamas on Lilly Pulitzer's website that I just had to share with y'all...

And, if you go to the website, they break it down by category, so you can shop for items under $50, under $100, and so fourth. Perfect gifts for any female in your life, or for yourself for that matter!

Happy shopping! And Happy Monday!

My New 'Do

So, I've been a blonde my entire life. For you fellow blondes out there, I'm sure you can relate. We have gorgeous, almost-white-from-the-sun-locks in the summer, but come winter, our hair takes on a brassy, dull color. And I was not going to take it. I needed a change, and what better time than right before our family pictures?! I did a little browsing on Pinterest, got some "hair-spiration," and after working up enough courage, called my girl to schedule an appointment. I figured I'd chicken out before the time rolled around, but when I got to her on Saturday and showed her the picture I found, she absolutely LOVED it, and couldn't wait to do something different to me. I think she was even shocked a little. But, we were both excited.

As soon as she removed the foils and started drying my hair, I was like, "oh my gosh, it's so dark!" "Kel, relax," she insisted. I might have exaggerated a little, because it's really not that noticeable. But, to me, it's a huge difference. And I love it.  I think I may go dark every winter from now on!

So, here is the new me... mind you, I hate taking selfies, so no judging...

Happy Friday loves!

Our first snowfall of the season!

It's funny how a change in location can alter the way you think about some things.

Before when I lived in Wilmington, NC, I would have been in Heaven to wake up and see this...

Our first snowfall of the season

But now, living in the north and being a "Yankee" as some of y'all might call it, when I woke up and looked out our front door, I was just like "oh, great, winter came early." Yes, it's pretty, and I did snap a few iPhone pics, but I know what's coming next: months of bitter cold wind and dirty snow that seems like it's never going to melt.

And then, I saw on Facebook last night that it actually snowed in my southern hometown. Every single one of my friends that is still living in Wilmington had some sort of status displaying their extreme excitement and delight. Many even had pictures of the "dusting." And I thought to myself, if I were living there still, I would be the exact same way. I remember when they used to just CALL for snow back when I was in school and everything would shut down like a hurricane was on the way. We'd all wake up the next morning, and it would be more of a frost on the ground, not even enough to make the smallest snowball, but boy did it make our day!

So, I've decided to embrace winter. After all, there's nothing like a White Christmas, or a White Thanksgiving for that matter, I suppose. And there are perks to having snow. You have an excuse to wear Uggs every day and drink massive amounts of hot chocolate. I know T will love playing in it too. Heck, I might even build a snowman or two this year, who knows! I'm just happy to be alive and lucky to live in such a wonderful place. So, bring on the snow, Mother Nature!

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Trendy Tot Tuesday

Want to join the link up? We'd love to have you! Follow Kelly, Megan, and  Lindsay, and link up your post! :o)

So, normally, I'm showing off one of Tinley's to-die-for outfits or new fashions from one of my favorite stores, but today, I thought I would show you Tinley's favorite outfit, since she is the star behind this post, after all. If she could have it her way, she would wear this every day, all day. And, I have a sneaky suspicion that every other toddler feels the same way...

Here's Miss T's favorite outfit:

Why do toddlers love to run around naked? Granted, there's nothing cuter than a little naked baby running around, especially one with tan lines, but I just don't understand their fascination!

Mamas, do your babes love to bare it all too?!
